About the Role
This position supports UNICEF India’s Nutrition Section, focusing on knowledge management, ensuring that programmatic insights are accessible to stakeholders for policy and programmatic decisions.
Location: New Delhi, India
Reporting to: Nutrition Specialist (IP-L4)
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Support:
- Develop case studies, human interest stories, policy briefs, programme briefs, and presentations.
- Edit and proofread documents, ensuring consistency with UNICEF’s style guide.
- Identify opportunities for additional knowledge products.
Poshan Weekly Production & Dissemination:
- Identify content and prepare weekly issues.
- Disseminate through mailing lists, WhatsApp groups, and social media.
Social Media Management:
- Post nutrition content on social media platforms (e.g., #StopChildMalnutritionIndia).
- Track engagement and produce monthly reports.
- Conduct training sessions on nutrition advocacy for UNICEF staff.
Media Tracking & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Monitor nutrition-related media coverage.
- Identify journalists, parliamentarians, and social media advocates active in the nutrition space.
Knowledge Repository Management:
- Maintain and update the ECM Knowledge@UNICEF library, CNNS-related publications list, and UNICEF India’s website.
Advocacy and Knowledge Management:
- Support the implementation and monitoring of the nutrition section’s Advocacy Action Plan and Knowledge Management Strategy.
Meeting Facilitation:
- Organise and facilitate monthly Nutrition Network Meetings and capacity-building KM sessions.
Coordination with CAP Section:
- Update nutrition section’s event calendar.
- Collaborate with CAP section for communication support.
Expected Deliverables
- High-quality documentation of nutrition programmes.
- Timely dissemination of Poshan Weekly.
- Regular updates on #StopChildMalnutritionIndia social media handles.
- Up-to-date knowledge repository and UNICEF India website.
- Effective implementation of the nutrition section’s Advocacy Action Plan.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in knowledge management, mass communication, public relations, social media, or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in public health, nutrition projects, or international development.
- Experience in content writing, social media management, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with the UN or similar organisations is an advantage.
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and database management.
- Strong writing, editing, and reporting abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, culturally sensitive, and adaptable to diverse environments.
Contract Details
Duration
- 1-year contract (renewable based on performance).
Benefits
- Monthly Living Allowance: ₹46,676.91
- One-time entry lump sum: $400
- Relocation allowance (if applicable): $200
- Exit allowance: ₹4,862.22 per month served (paid upon contract completion).
