The Clinton Health Access Initiative

The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization. It works to save lives and reduce disease in low and middle-income countries by helping governments build sustainable, high-quality health systems. In India, CHAI works in partnership with its affiliate, the William J Clinton Foundation (WJCF). WJCF is an independent not-for-profit organisation that supports the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on high-priority health initiatives, including infectious diseases, cancer, maternal and child health, and digital health.

Role

We are looking for a motivated Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our "Project iLIFT" team. The purpose of this role is to use data and research to improve lung health for tribal communities in Korba. You will be responsible for tracking the project's progress and making sure the data we collect helps us make better decisions to help patients with TB and respiratory issues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the project's monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework to track progress against goals.
  • Design and deploy simple data collection tools for field staff and healthcare workers.
  • Maintain high-quality databases and ensure all project data is accurate and up to date.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to identify trends and areas where the project can improve.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for government stakeholders and project partners.
  • Visit field sites to validate data and provide support to local health teams.
  • Help build the capacity of local health staff to use data for better patient care.
  • Support the Program Lead in strategic planning based on evidence from the field.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in M&E, data management, or research, preferably within the development or health sector.
  • Strong technical skills in Excel and data visualization tools; experience with mobile data collection apps is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex data in simple terms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong soft skills including cultural sensitivity, teamwork, and the ability to build relationships with government partners.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi is essential; knowledge of local dialects in Chhattisgarh is an advantage.
