The heart of Bhumi’s mission lies in its education programs, which reach thousands of underprivileged children in orphanages, slum communities, and low-income schools.
Role
As the Educational Program Manager, you will be the heart of our "Bhumi Clubs" initiative. Your job is to lead the strategy and planning that makes our educational programs successful. You will balance high-quality teaching standards with the leadership of our amazing volunteers to ensure every child gets the best learning experience possible.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality education programme delivery through structured interventions and effective implementation.
- Maximise learning outcomes of students in English, Maths, STEM (shelter homes), Environment Education (schools), and IT Skilling (youth).
- Improve volunteer retention and develop volunteer leadership to strengthen programme ownership.
- Sustainably scale the programme across regions through innovation, partnerships, and community engagement.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Education or a completed Fellowship in education.
- At least 3 years of experience managing projects or programs, ideally in an NGO or school setting.
- Proven experience working with and leading volunteers.
- A deep understanding of pedagogy (how children learn) and teaching methods.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and resolve conflicts.
- A proactive and resourceful attitude; someone who is under 35 years of age.
- Ability to travel locally and nationally when needed to visit our program sites.
