Role

As the Manager Finance, you will be the custodian of the organisation's fiscal health, overseeing operations, compliance, and budgeting. You will work at the intersection of financial discipline and social impact, ensuring that funds are managed effectively to support programs that reach millions of citizens.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day financial accounting and bookkeeping using ERP systems and supervise outsourced accounting activities.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process by collaborating with leadership to forecast headcounts, travel, and operational requirements.
  • Prepare and present monthly MIS reports that detail initiative wise expenditure, grant utilisation, and cash flow projections.
  • Coordinate with initiative leaders to ensure timely submission of financial reports and Utilisation Certificates to donors.
  • Ensure strict adherence to statutory compliances, including TDS, GST, FCRA, and Income Tax regulations.
  • Manage all financial aspects of vendor relationships, including contracts, invoices, and payments.
  • Act as the custodian of all financial records, maintaining structured digital and physical filing systems for audits.

Requirements

  • CA Inter or MBA in Finance with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience working in the NGO or social sector is highly preferred.
  • Strong command of Indian Accounting Standards and NGO specific compliances such as FCRA and 12A/80G.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems like Tally or Zoho Books, along with advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial data to provide actionable insights and variance analysis.
  • High integrity and a collaborative mindset to work with multiple stakeholders and auditors.
