Role
As the Manager for Government Partnerships, you will lead vocational education initiatives in Maharashtra. This role involves managing high level government relationships, overseeing program execution, and leading a team to drive impactful skill education programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for implementing vocational education in the state.
- Serve as the main point of contact for state education departments and advocate for skill education reforms.
- Build and strengthen partnerships with government bodies, non-profits, and industry partners like NSDC and Sector Skill Councils.
- Manage the Project Management Unit (PMU) team to ensure high quality delivery of skill based education.
- Oversee key initiatives like internships, employer connections, and the effective roll out of technology systems.
- Manage state level program budgets and resource allocation for efficient implementation.
- Lead, mentor, and build the capacity of state teams, including project coordinators, instructors, and field staff.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Management, Education, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in government engagement, program implementation, and leading a team.
- Strong understanding of government schemes and policies related to education and skill development.
- Proven experience in advocacy, project management, strategic planning, and managing large scale education programs.
- Ability to build and manage relationships with government agencies and industry partners.
- Strong analytical, data driven decision making, and reporting skills.
- Fluency in English and Marathi (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel extensively within the state as required.
