Role
We are seeking a creative and strategic leader to elevate Bhumi’s brand value. You will design communication strategies to better engage our volunteers, donors, and partners while leading a passionate team dedicated to advancing our social mission.
Responsibilities
- Come up with fresh communication ideas and run targeted online and offline campaigns using data and feedback to strengthen the Bhumi brand and find growth opportunities
- Create and execute an overall marketing and communications plan covering materials, digital content, and press releases that fits Bhumi's mission and keeps messaging consistent everywhere
- Lead Bhumi's social media presence and PR strategy to better connect with target audiences and strengthen public image
- Work with program teams to share stories and wins from Bhumi's programs like Ignite, Catalyse, and the Bhumi Fellowship
- Track and report on how well marketing efforts are working, make data-driven improvements, and foster a team culture that welcomes new ideas
- Build and run outreach campaigns to attract and engage volunteers, donors, and partners like corporates, colleges, and schools
- Drive digital fundraising efforts to bring in new donors and keep existing ones engaged
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in marketing or communications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience working or volunteering within the NGO sector.
- Expert-level written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Tamil is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of web analytics, digital marketing, and social media trends.
- Tech-savvy with a flair for storytelling, copywriting, and content creation.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects and a multicultural team.
- Ability to work effectively with volunteer coordinators across various cities.
