IDR (India Development Review) is Asia’s largest independent media platform focused on the development sector, with a reach of 20 million users per month. Established as a nonprofit in 2017, IDR aims to advance knowledge about social impact in India by publishing ideas, insights, perspectives, and analysis from practitioners in the field. IDR is now in an exciting phase of growth, targeting 500 million users annually by 2027. This growth will be driven by an AI-powered learning platform, the first of its kind in India.
About the Role
Responsibilities
As a Manager leading the product and its growth, you will:
- Understand IDR’s user base, including their knowledge-seeking behavior, thematic preferences, and translate this into sustained value for them.
- Craft and implement marketing strategies focused on user acquisition, activation, retention, and virality.
- Be accountable for achieving targets related to user growth and engagement.
- Help build a platform that fosters community and peer learning, leveraging a network effect.
Qualifications
- 6-8 years of work experience, particularly in product marketing or audience growth roles in startup environments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-focused orientation.
- A flair for marketing and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills
- Deep understanding of user behavior and the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
- Familiarity with various product marketing strategies.
- Excellent quantitative skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing both external stakeholders and internal team members.

- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
