The MEL Senior Data Analysis Officer will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights to support sustainable cotton farming. The role involves cleaning, validating, analysing, and visualising data, supporting field-level improvements, and improving data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and format data in Excel, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Use PowerBI for analysis and visualisation on dashboards.
- Support country teams with interactive dashboards and efficient data processing (e.g., VBA, PowerQuery, Python).
- Respond to data analysis requests from stakeholders.
- Test and improve data digitalisation tools and related dashboards.
- Train staff and partners on data collection, reporting, and cleaning.
- Produce regular data reporting (e.g., Results Indicator End of Season Reports).
- Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing within the MEL team.

Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Degree in environmental/social science, statistics, agriculture, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in Excel, databases, and analytics tools.
- Experience in data quality assessment and improvement.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Desirable:
- Knowledge of sustainable agriculture and smallholder farming.
- Experience with PowerBI, Python, SQL, or R.
- Strong communication skills for international, multicultural settings.
- Additional languages (French, Portuguese, Urdu, Mandarin, Turkish, or Hindi).
