Aajeevika Bureau
The India Labourline (ILL) is a programme by Aajeevika Bureau that provides information, counselling, support, and legal aid to informal workers across India through a phone and field-based service. It also acts as a grievance redressal forum to address labour rights violations for workers in sectors like construction, factories, garment and textiles, and farm work. ILL helps thousands of workers resolve their wage disputes and protects their rightful earnings from fraud. It is run in partnership with a network of civil society organisations working on labour issues.
Role
As the MIS & IT Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the data and technology infrastructure for the India Labour Line Helpline. You will manage the CRM and cloud telephony systems, and oversee the design, execution, and monitoring of the MIS platform.
Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot the CRM and cloud telephony systems.
- Design, implement, and monitor the MIS platform for India Labour Line.
- Collate, compile, and analyse data and reports related to calls and response traffic.
- Implement new features and functionalities in the MIS/IT platform.
- Design, maintain, and track the MIS developed on PHP and JavaScript.
- Identify and resolve PHP development problems.
- Ensure the digital security and protection of all collected data.
- Train end users on how to use the application.
- Travel to field locations to understand user issues and identify needs for the application.
- Provide technical assistance to end users to address challenges with the MIS.
- Coordinate with developers to resolve any issues.
- Conduct testing after implementation and report bugs to development teams.
- Provide basic IT hardware support, including procurement and troubleshooting.
- Train and support field teams in using and maintaining the technology platform.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in software programming and MIS development.
- Understanding of PHP web frameworks like Laravel and CodeIgniter.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming in PHP.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
- Experience developing Progressive Web App (PWA) mobile applications.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Competent with code versioning systems like Git.
- Understanding of MVC design patterns.
- Understanding of SDLC and unit testing.
- Proficient in using and analysing data to help teams make decisions.
- Ability to provide remote technical support.
