Suvita
Suvita is an evidence-based nonprofit dedicated to increasing the uptake of routine childhood vaccinations in India. Every year, over 4 million children miss out on basic vaccinations, which leads to preventable illness and death. Suvita addresses this gap through two main programs: identifying local influencers to act as immunisation ambassadors and sending personalised SMS reminders to caregivers. Since 2019, they have reached over 4 million families and partnered with government health departments in Maharashtra and Bihar. Supported by leaders like GiveWell and J-PAL, they focus on rigorous testing to ensure their work is cost-effective and impactful.
