Role
The MERL Associate will support Alokit’s monitoring and evaluation processes to measure program effectiveness and contribute to research on school leadership in India. The role involves developing research tools, managing surveys, analyzing data, and supporting M&E activities for a program focused on developing gender-responsive schools in Telangana.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with program teams and stakeholders to conduct baseline and endline surveys
- Develop and implement tools for program evaluation
- Monitor data collection quality and participate in qualitative research activities
- Manage, clean, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data; share insights with teams
- Track attendance and feedback for workshops and coaching sessions
- Analyze program inputs and provide regular insights to support data-driven decisions
- Attend workshops and visit schools to understand program implementation
- Present findings through reports and data visualizations
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with strong quantitative skills; qualitative research experience is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in education or development sector, with M&E experience
- Experience managing surveys and data collection
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Experience presenting data to varied stakeholders
- Strong skills in quantitative data management, analysis, and visualization
- Experience in qualitative research methods and data quality assurance
- Ability to synthesize and communicate insights clearly
