Noora Health

Noora Health

Noora Health is a pioneering nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health outcomes by equipping family caregivers with the skills and confidence they need to support their loved ones. Founded in 2014, Noora Health was born from the belief that families are an untapped resource in healthcare—capable of making a profound difference in patient recovery and well-being. By transforming hospital hallways and waiting rooms into classrooms, Noora Health empowers caregivers to become active partners in the healing process.

Through its flagship initiative, the Care Companion Program (CCP), Noora Health partners with governments and health systems in India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Nepal. The CCP trains caregivers and patients in essential health practices, from post-surgical care to newborn and maternal health. Till date, Noora Health has reached more than 30 million caregivers and patients across 12,400+ healthcare facilities. The impact is clear: the program has reduced post-surgical cardiac complications by 71%, maternal complications by 12%, newborn complications by 16%, and newborn readmissions by 56%.

Noora Health’s innovative work has garnered international recognition. The organization is a TED 2022 Audacious Project Grantee and a recipient of the Skoll Foundation Award for Social Innovation. Their mission and impact have been highlighted on the TED stage and in The New York Times, bringing global attention to the power of caregiver education.
