Role

The Outreach Worker (ORW) is the heart of our field operations. The purpose of this role is to connect people living with HIV (PLHIV) to essential healthcare services, ensure they continue their treatment, and provide the emotional and social support they need to live healthy, stigma-free lives.

Responsibilities

Lead daily field activities and register community members for care and support services.
Conduct home visits for newly started patients to provide guidance on nutrition, healthy living, and medicine adherence.
Identify and track patients who have missed their hospital appointments (LFU) and encourage them to resume treatment.
Assist individuals in accessing government social welfare schemes and financial benefits.
Help patients and families deal with social stigma and discrimination.
Screen community members for TB symptoms and refer them to health centers for testing.
Organize and support HIV and TB testing for family members and partners of patients.
Coordinate with community volunteers in remote areas to ensure no one is left behind.

Requirements

Minimum 8th-grade pass.
2–3 years of experience in field work; a basic understanding of HIV care and treatment programs is required. Preference is given to individuals from the PLHIV community.
Ability to communicate in Telugu, Hindi, and English.
Basic reporting skills, strong community networking abilities, and a high level of empathy.
Must maintain strict patient confidentiality, show cultural sensitivity, and conduct themselves with professional integrity.
