Role
The Placement Specialist is responsible for connecting skilled candidates with employment opportunities across Odisha. This role involves building a network of local employers, managing recruitment drives, and ensuring that candidates are prepared for the transition into the workforce. The position requires frequent travel across the state to maintain employer relationships and meet placement targets.
Responsibilities
- Identify and establish relationships with local employers, factories, and businesses to source job openings.
- Match skilled candidates with suitable roles based on employer requirements and candidate skill sets.
- Provide career counseling, including assistance with resume writing and interview preparation.
- Organize and execute job fairs, recruitment drives, and networking events.
- Maintain detailed records of placements, track candidate outcomes, and generate progress reports.
- Travel throughout Odisha to meet with stakeholders and ensure high placement rates.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align training outcomes with market demand.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in any field, though an MBA is preferred.
- 3 to 4 years of mandatory experience in job placements or manpower recruitment.
- Existing professional connections with employers and industries within Odisha.
- Fluency in Odia, English, and Bengali.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and meet specific placement deadlines.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the state.
