IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation is a Technology Innovation Hub at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, focused on Sensors, Networking, Actuators, and Control Systems (SNACS). We are funded by the Department of Science and Technology under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems. Since 2021, we have been involved in technology incubation, mission-critical project management, skill development, and administering fellowships and CSR projects. Our dedicated team works towards building a resilient and Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
About the Role
Responsibilities
- Design and enhance PostgreSQL features and performance.
- Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and best practices for PostgreSQL development.
- Stay updated on trends in database management and open-source software.
- Mentor junior developers on PostgreSQL internals and best practices.
- Conduct research on database technologies and recommend best practices.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience in software development with a focus on database systems.
- In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, internals, and optimization.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
