Role
The Platforms & Engineering team builds technology that saves lives. As a Product Development Engineer, you will own the development of digital products used by families and healthcare workers across four countries. This role focuses on frontend expertise making sure our tools are easy to see, use, and navigate while also helping with backend tasks when needed. You will help shape our platforms as we grow and play a key role in building our team culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and testing of new features for our digital platforms.
- Focus on creating high-quality, user-friendly frontend experiences for caregivers and healthcare workers.
- Collaborate with designers, medical professionals, and researchers to turn user needs into working technology.
- Support backend development occasionally to ensure a smooth and complete product experience.
- Help set team processes and culture as part of a growing engineering team.
- Run experiments to test new ideas and implement the ones that work best for our users.
- Work across the entire software lifecycle, from the initial concept to post-release support.
Requirements
- An engineering degree in computer science, information science, or a related technical field.
- Strong background in frontend engineering and a solid understanding of the full product development process.
- High proficiency in frontend technologies and a willingness to work with backend systems. Experience in testing and deploying scalable digital solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-technical teams like clinical experts and researchers.
- A commitment to building inclusive tools that serve diverse communities with varying levels of digital literacy.
