Role

As a Product Manager, you’ll lead the design, development, and rollout of technology solutions that make a real difference for nonprofits. You’ll work directly with clients and internal teams to create tech that is practical, affordable, and impactful—especially for organizations working in low-resource settings. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll manage projects from start to finish, solve problems creatively, and help nonprofits use technology to drive social change.


Responsibilities

Product & Technology Strategy

  • Define and execute product roadmaps in line with client and organizational goals
  • Design scalable, cost-effective tech solutions for low-resource environments
  • Recommend open-source, low-code/no-code, and affordable technologies

Stakeholder Engagement & Client Management

  • Act as the main point of contact between clients, internal teams, and tech partners
  • Lead discovery sessions to understand client needs and technical possibilities
  • Build partnerships with universities, CSR teams, and tech volunteers
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering user-friendly, high-impact solutions

Research & Data-Driven Innovation

  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability tests
  • Use data to guide product decisions and measure impact
  • Track KPIs and social outcomes to ensure effectiveness

Technical Implementation & Delivery

  • Translate client needs into technical requirements
  • Oversee product development, configuration, and deployment
  • Lead user acceptance and pilot testing, refining solutions as needed
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with internal and external teams

Project Management & Execution

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones
  • Lead projects from ideation to launch
  • Manage budgets and resources for efficient delivery

Capacity Building & Adoption

  • Conduct training and workshops for non-technical users
  • Create guides and documentation for easy adoption
  • Implement strategies to boost user adoption and reduce resistance

Team Collaboration & Growth

  • Work closely with internal teams and external developers
  • Mentor teammates and encourage cross-functional collaboration
  • Document and share learnings and best practices
  • Contribute ideas for future tech initiatives

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in product management, tech implementation, or software development
  • Experience in social impact tech or nonprofit technology is a plus
  • Strong skills in user research, UX/UI design, and agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with low-code/no-code tools, open-source tech, and cloud solutions
  • Experience with data analysis, impact measurement, and KPI tracking
  • Excellent communication skills, including training and capacity-building
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter attitude
  • Passion for technology for good and creating social impact
  • Comfortable translating complex tech into simple, actionable steps
