Role

The Program Associate will lead the daily operations of the new Centre for AI in Education at DIET Varanasi. You will bridge the gap between technology and the classroom by supporting future teachers as they learn to use AI tools responsibly and creatively.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage the AI learning centre day-to-day, keeping the classroom and tech ready
• Maintain the centre's schedule in line with DIET's timetable
• Organise fortnightly AI sessions for DIET students and support hands-on activities in class
• Collect and share students' work (lesson plans, projects, assignments) with the Gurushala team
• Support DIET teachers during sessions and help them gradually take over facilitation
• Note down teacher feedback and make the centre a regular part of DIET's routine
• Stay in touch with Pratham's academic and tech teams for planning and resources
• Help link this programme with other teacher training activities where needed
• Organise school student visits to the centre and deliver simple, age-appropriate AI sessions
• Maintain attendance records, write monthly updates, and help prepare quarterly reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Technology, or similar (Master's preferred)
• Experience in facilitation, training, or academic coordination roles
• Good at managing schedules, logistics, and communication within institutional settings
• Can guide learners through creating lesson plans, activities, and projects
• Comfortable with both online and in-person session formats
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills
• Proficient in Hindi; English preferred for coordination and tools
• Basic understanding of AI concepts and ability to explain them simply
• Comfortable using beginner-friendly AI tools for education and tracking participation
• Aware of responsible AI use — data privacy, bias, misinformation, and digital safety
