Role

PxD is seeking a Program Associate/Senior Program Associate to join its India team and support the rollout of a digital agricultural extension roadmap in partnership with government. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the most cost-effective international development interventions globally. You will work in a collaborative, non-hierarchical team, with freedom to experiment, build, and learn, while directly impacting the lives of Indian farmers.

Responsibilities

Program & Project Management

  • Support scoping, design, and pilot testing of new digital agriculture services.
  • Coordinate across research, technology, and program teams to develop user-centred solutions.
  • Work directly with frontline staff and farmers to ensure products meet local needs.
  • Assist in managing programme implementation with government and partner organisations.
  • Contribute to organisational processes such as budgeting, hiring, and performance reviews.

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain summaries of meetings, reports, and project documentation.
  • Support preparation of presentations, blogs, and policy briefs.
  • Assist with organising stakeholder events and dissemination activities.

Research & Field Engagement

  • Conduct literature reviews and secondary research to inform program design.
  • Spend time in the field engaging with farmers, local partners, and government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with 2–6 years of relevant experience (depending on PA or Sr. PA level).
  • Entrepreneurial and data-driven with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in government engagement and partnership management preferred.
  • Familiarity with quantitative research, R/SQL/Stata desirable.
  • Strong English writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to field sites as required.
