WeLive Foundation

WeLive Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation based in Bengaluru and Chennai, dedicated to supporting young people as they leave childcare institutions and step into adulthood. For many care leavers, turning 18 means suddenly having to manage life on their own—finding a place to live, continuing their education, and starting work—often without any family or support system. WeLive Foundation is there to make this transition less daunting and far more hopeful.

The foundation runs residential bridge programmes, where young adults aged 18 to 23 can stay for up to three years. In these safe, welcoming centres, they receive nutritious meals, guidance from caring adult mentors, and access to counselling and emotional support. The focus is on helping each young person build essential life skills, pursue further education, find meaningful work, and develop the confidence to live independently.

WeLive’s approach is deeply personal and holistic. Each care leaver is matched with a mentor who becomes a trusted friend and guide. The foundation also offers non-residential and crisis support for those who need a safe place to stay in times of difficulty.

At the heart of WeLive’s work are the values of Care, Respect, Affection, Freedom, and Trust—‘CRAFT’. The team believes that, with the right support and encouragement, every young person can build a bright, independent future. Over the past five years, WeLive has helped more than 175 young adults from across India take their first confident steps into the world.

WeLive Foundation is more than just a safety net; it is a launchpad for young people to build independent, fulfilling lives. By offering mentorship, emotional support, and practical skills, WeLive ensures that care leavers know they are never alone—and that their futures are filled with hope and possibility.
