Role
The Program Officer - Nature Connect Outreach & Communication is a creative and active role focused on sharing the story of our conservation work. You will be the voice of the Nature Connect program, turning field-based activities into inspiring content that connects people with nature. This role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling, enjoys traveling to project sites, and knows how to use digital and visual tools to drive awareness and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design and run communication campaigns that align with program goals to reach diverse audiences.
- Travel to project locations to capture photographs, films, and written stories that showcase our impact on the ground.
- Develop brochures, posters, infographics, and presentations, while managing social media and newsletters.
- Organize events, webinars, and exhibitions to make our work more visible and engaging to the public.
- Collect weekly and monthly updates from field teams to draft reports and keep internal and external stakeholders informed.
- Provide hands-on support for organizing program activities, events, and field visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Environmental Studies, Wildlife Sciences, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in a communications or outreach role.
- Strong storytelling skills with a portfolio in content writing, photography, or videography.
- Technical skills in using digital tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, and social media management platforms.
- Fluency in English and Hindi is essential for communicating with different communities.
- Soft skills in communication, networking, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- A deep passion for nature and biodiversity, and a willingness to travel for field-based documentation.
