Launch Girls
Since 2020, Launch Girls has been reshaping futures for adolescent girls across 16 countries. Through their Girl Boss program, they equip young women aged 14-24 with essential skills, confidence and support networks needed to break cycles of poverty. Working with 32 local partners, they've reached over 27,000 girls who now believe in their potential to lead and create change. Their approach combines entrepreneurship training with life skills development, helping girls carve their own paths whether through starting businesses, finding employment or pursuing higher education.
Role
Program delivery sits at the heart of Launch Girls' mission to empower adolescent girls with economic opportunities. This Program Associate will facilitate the Girl Boss curriculum whilst mentoring other facilitators and contributing to program innovation across Raichur district.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Launch Girls programs with adolescent girls using the Girl Boss curriculum in safe, inclusive learning environments
- Implement diverse pedagogical strategies that increase girls' ownership of their learning experience
- Build strong relationships with participants and foster collaboration among them
- Document program insights, challenges and feedback from field implementation
- Mentor and support college lecturers and partner program facilitators through regular check-ins, observations and feedback sessions
- Help facilitators create peer-led reflective and collaborative learning spaces
- Collaborate with program design team to iterate and improve content, delivery methods and pedagogical approaches
- Contribute to refining program assumptions and innovations for scaling to additional colleges
- Monitor program delivery continuously, collect data and track learner outcomes
- Document qualitative and quantitative insights from learning labs and contribute to storytelling
- Build trust and alignment with college lecturers, administrators and community members
- Organise and conduct exposure visits, events and workshops with key stakeholders
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience facilitating or teaching youth programs, preferably with girls
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Kannada
- Strong communication, mentoring and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel regularly including overnight stays and potential relocation
- Experience in education nonprofits, working with government stakeholders, fellowships or youth-led initiatives preferred
- Experience working in government or budget private schools/colleges preferred
- Understanding of various pedagogical approaches and proven methods from past experiences
- Curiosity to learn alongside adolescent girls and creative problem-solving abilities
- Strong documentation, data management and reflection skills
- Comfort with technology including G-suite, WhatsApp groups and Zoom
