About The Role
Location: Gurgaon
Earthwatch Institute India is seeking for a Programme Manager. The ideal candidate will be an environment/management professional with experience in coordinating and managing environmental projects and programmes. The position will be based in Gurgaon and involve travel to field projects.
- Programme Coordination, Management, Monitoring & Evaluation
- Coordinate and support in developing and managing projects.
- Convene and coordinate meetings to discuss work plans, implementation progress and knowledge exchange.
- Contribute to the development of new concepts and proposals
- Preparation of project-related technical and financial reports on a regular basis.
- Development of a monitoring & evaluation framework for projects and develop annual monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Coordinate with field experts in compiling data related to periodic progress, short & medium-term outcomes and impacts.
- With support from the field experts, finalise the monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress and technical reports.
Knowledge management
- Design and implement an effective knowledge management, communications and outreach strategy to enhance the projects' visibility, outreach and impact.
- Coordinate with the field experts to collate, analyse and disseminate science and education-related information and knowledge emerging from the projects.
- Support in developing learning and educational resources to support the projects.
Requirements
- Masters in environment, management, sustainability, or related fields.
- About 5 years of experience in programme coordination and management in an environment and conservation institution.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and excellent communication and analytical skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to take scientific or technical information and translate it for a non-technical audience
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders, multitask and meet timelines
- Knowledge of basic computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management.
