About the Role
Reliance Foundation’s Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programme aims to improve the quality of education for children aged 3-6 years, especially in Anganwadi centres. The ECCE initiative is new and rapidly growing, requiring the team to develop, implement, and scale the programme across multiple states.
The Programme Manager - ECCE Technology will lead the technological innovations within the programme, collaborating with various teams to implement tech-based solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design (40%)
- Identify and evaluate new technologies for the ECCE programme.
- Conduct workshops to understand user needs and behaviours regarding technology.
- Prototype and test new ideas in partnership with team members.
- Continuously improve solutions based on feedback and field learnings.
- Keep the team informed about new technological trends and research.
- Communicate user needs effectively to technology development partners.
Implementation (40%)
- Support the lead in project implementation and manage tech initiatives.
- Coordinate with technology partners to meet project deadlines.
- Build the capacity of the Reliance Foundation (RF) team to implement technology solutions.
- Visit field locations regularly to identify and address implementation challenges.
Documentation (10%)
- Prepare design documents, technical notes, and RFPs for tech needs.
- Document implementation learnings and iterations.
Other Activities (10%)
- Work with M&E, Communications, and Research teams to highlight tech innovations.
- Fulfil any additional responsibilities assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications and Skills:
Necessary Qualifications:
- Post Graduate in Social Sciences, Social Work, Education, Engineering, Computer Applications, or related fields.
- Graduate in Computer Science, IT, or ITES.
Desirable:
- Qualification or certification in AI-ML.
Necessary Experience:
- At least 7 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in developing technology solutions for the development sector.
- Strong understanding of mobile technologies, database management, and content management systems.
- Knowledge of Human-Centred Design.
- Proficiency in English; working knowledge of Hindi is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, analysis, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
- Experience working with Women and Child Development (WCD) or Education departments.
- Knowledge of additional state languages, particularly Marathi or Telugu.
