Role
Step into a leadership role at Zubaan Trust, where nurturing inclusive programmes shapes nationwide feminist advocacy. The Programmes Manager will guide a dynamic team, overseeing the design and delivery of multifaceted projects with communities at the heart.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans and budgets for impactful programmes focusing on marginalised groups and regions.
- Steer the Programme Team to meet Zubaan’s vision for gendered knowledge and cultural production.
- Align activities with feminist activism and participatory research; ensure robust project documentation.
- Support high-quality grant proposals via collaborative, community-driven approaches.
- Monitor programme outcomes, ensure compliance, and deliver timely reports.
- Strengthen partnerships with collectives, academia, and activist networks.
- Oversee financial planning, resource allocation, and expenditure reviews throughout project lifecycles.
- Create a supportive, diverse, and high-performing team environment; manage recruitment, onboarding, and staff development.
- Ensure adherence to policy compliance (FCRA, IT, etc.) with the finance team.
Requirements
- Master’s in Social Sciences or development studies, ideally with research and project management expertise.
- 6-8 years’ relevant experience in NGOs, including senior management and multicultural contexts.
- Proven ability in programme design, monitoring, evaluation, and fundraising across diverse sources.
- Deep understanding of feminist methodologies and experience with dispossessed communities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
- High proficiency in MS Office and fluency in local languages preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
