Role

Practical Action is looking for a Project Associate to support a three-year climate resilience initiative in Maharashtra. This role involves coordinating with field teams and partners across Akola, Jalgaon, and Nanded-Waghala to implement nature-based solutions that reduce heat exposure and improve water security for low-income urban communities.

Responsibilities

  • Track field-level implementation progress against work plans and deliverables.
  • Facilitate regular communication between field teams, partners, and the central team.
  • Support the roll-out of the monitoring, evaluation, and learning framework.
  • Conduct periodic field visits to monitor progress, verify data, and assess activity quality.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports, dashboards, and donor updates.
  • Document lessons learned, success stories, and innovations from field activities.
  • Provide support to field partners on data collection tools and reporting standards.
  • Support gender, inclusion, and safeguarding integration across all project activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably master's degree, in Rural Development, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Environment, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in program management and coordination, preferably in rural or urban development.
  • Strong skills in monitoring and evaluation, documentation, and analysis.
  • Experience in producing reports and managing data.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Maharashtra field sites.
  • Understanding of gender-sensitive approaches and safeguarding principles.
