Role
As a Full-Time Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and field coordination of the adolescent girls' empowerment project in six target informal settlements. This is a field-based role that involves managing the Social Workers team and coordinating the smooth execution of all project interventions on the ground.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the work of the Social Workers, ensuring they effectively facilitate peer-learning sessions and lead community engagement.
- Ensure all interventions, including scheme navigation support, civic and digital literacy workshops, and family dialogues, are carried out as planned.
- Work closely with ASHA and Anganwadi workers, as well as ward councillors, for resource mobilization and access to government systems.
- Collect and compile field data, including progress on scheme access and girl's participation, and prepare reports for the Project Manager and Project Director.
- Organize and support community events like Mohalla Sabhas and Samvidhan Melas to promote civic engagement and involve families.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related field. A Master's degree is a definite plus.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage and supervise a field team.
- Strong experience in community engagement, especially in informal settings.
- Knowledge of and experience in navigating government schemes relevant to adolescent girls (e.g., scholarships, Kanya Utthan Yojana).
- Excellent data collection, documentation, and reporting skills, with proficiency in spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
