Role
The Project Lead will provide strategic leadership for Project Parivartan in Goa. This project is a partnership with the Directorate of Health Services and Goa Medical College. The goal is to tackle Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and improve Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) across all 41 public health facilities in the state. You will be the driving force ensuring the project runs smoothly, reaches its goals, and improves patient safety in the public health system.
Responsibilities
- Design project activities, track progress, and create specific action plans for each health facility.
- Lead the creation of important policy documents, such as antibiotic policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Organize and deliver high-quality training for healthcare workers on infection control and medicine safety.
- Work closely with government health officials and facility in-charges to gain support and share project updates.
- Collaborate with the evaluation team to collect data, measure performance, and write reports for donors and senior leadership.
- Guide and support the project staff in their daily work, ensuring everyone is aligned with the project budget and goals.
- Represent the organization at external meetings, workshops, and public forums.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Healthcare Management, or Business Management.
- An MD in Microbiology or Community Medicine, or a DNB in Medicine, is a strong advantage.
- At least 10 years of solid experience managing health programs.
- Experience working with public health systems or medium-sized hospitals.
- Proven background in delivering programs related to antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention.
- Deep understanding of the development sector and public health challenges.
- Strong skills in data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and survey design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (including Macros).
- Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and the ability to bring diverse teams to a consensus.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment.
