Role
The PMU Officer leads the implementation of rural livelihood programs for persons with disabilities at the state level. You will act as the vital link between district operations and state strategy, ensuring field teams have the support they need to create real economic change for the community.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of program activities by supervising and mentoring Field Officers.
- Coordinate with district government officials and MSRLS stakeholders to strengthen disability inclusion.
- Manage the progress of Self-Help Group (SHG) formation and livelihood linkages.
- Validate field data to ensure high accuracy and quality in reporting.
- Monitor program timelines and address bottlenecks to meet community targets.
- Document success stories, challenges, and best practices from the field.
- Facilitate training and capacity building for team members and local partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Rural Development or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with government programs or community institutions like SHGs.
- Proficiency in English, Hindi, and local languages (Khasi or Garo).
- Strong technical skills in Google Workspace and MS Office, specifically Excel for data management.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proactive problem-solver who remains calm under shifting priorities.
- Deep empathy for the community paired with a strong sense of accountability.
