ARPO (Archival and Research Project) functions as a non-profit with the agility and energy of a startup. They are dedicated to preserving and documenting cultural heritage through rigorous research and creative initiatives. Founded in 2021, ARPO’s story begins with a simple idea: that every forgotten folk song, every crumbling temple, and every untold legend deserves a second chance to shine.

Role

You will lead a specific capacity-building project designed to support traditional cultural practitioners. This role requires you to manage the initiative from its very beginning all the way to its successful completion, ensuring that the artists and practitioners receive the support they need.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of the capacity-building project from initiation to closure.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the project to ensure timelines are met.
  • Travel to the field to connect with practitioners and monitor progress on the ground.
  • Handle the research and documentation aspects required for the project's success.

Requirements

  • 5 years of work experience in managing research, documentation, or similar programmes.
  • Functional knowledge of Malayalam or Tamil is required.
  • A background or strong interest in Performing Arts is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations as needed.
  • Knowledge of driving is preferred.
