Role
Lead the design and delivery of teacher development and capacity-building programs within government schools, working closely with education systems to improve learning outcomes at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of professional development programs for teachers, school leaders, and academic officials
- Design and scale teacher support initiatives such as learning circles, blended training programs, and remedial learning approaches
- Apply classroom and pedagogical expertise to improve teaching practices and assessment-based instruction
- Lead pilots, document learnings, and refine program design for scale and quality
- Manage and mentor a small team of Project Associates
- Build strong working relationships with government officials, education experts, and partner organisations
- Set clear plans and priorities to ensure timely and high-quality execution
- Work closely with monitoring and evaluation teams to analyse data and inform program decisions
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in teacher professional development or education programs
- Minimum 2 years of direct classroom teaching experience is strongly preferred
- Experience working with government education systems is an advantage
- Graduate or postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field preferred
- Strong facilitation and instructional design skills
- Ability to work independently and manage complex programs
- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi
