About the Role
xAI is looking for a full-time Protective Intelligence Analyst to join their Protective Intelligence Team within Corporate Security. This role involves identifying and assessing threats to xAI’s key assets, managing a dynamic threat landscape, and contributing to investigations, research, and analysis. It’s ideal for someone who is motivated by the intersection of these fields and is excited to protect and strengthen the company’s security posture.

Responsibilities
- Support the development of an insider threat program, collaborating with HR and cybersecurity to evaluate risks.
- Monitor and analyze potentially threatening communications using social listening tools.
- Conduct thorough investigations, synthesizing data to produce actionable recommendations.
- Perform threat assessments and background security reviews using commercial databases and open-source tools.
- Evaluate the credibility and severity of risks, prioritizing them based on targeted violence fundamentals.
- Provide well-researched insights and trend analysis for stakeholders through professional reports.
- Assist in various physical security risk assessments and ensure that external vendors meet xAI’s security standards.
- Promote security awareness across internal departments by educating teams about potential risks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in fields like Criminology, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Data Science, Security Management, Business, Economics, or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in online and open-source investigations or security analysis.
Preferred:
- Certified Threat Manager (ATAP CTM) training.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with social listening and monitoring tools (e.g., Ontic).
- Advanced Boolean search query expertise.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local security regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MISP, Navig Ontic, and Slack.
- Awareness of global geopolitical and social issues.
- Experience creating intelligence programs and best practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when needed.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
