About The Role

The Data Reporting and Communications Specialist (Coffee Projects) position is part of a global Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) project focusing on the coffee sector with one of Rainforest Alliance's long-term strategic private sector partners. This full-time role will be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with potential for other locations. The position reports to the Senior Manager M&E projects in the Data Management & Intelligence department within the Products Portfolio.

What You'll Do

The successful candidate will translate and transform field supply chain M&E data and insights into strong communications and reporting products for both internal and external publication. They will work with a team implementing supply chain M&E projects in the coffee sector, collaborating with project teams, subject matter experts, staff in implementation countries, and an external network of clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate project summaries and M&E reports describing key achievements for diverse stakeholders
• Lead coordination in the design, implementation, and sign-off of PowerBI reporting formats
• Collate intelligence from various experts to build insightful narratives on key sustainability topics
• Analyze historical data to provide improvement feedback for future data collection
• Provide research support on relevant ESG indicators for topics like regenerative agriculture and climate change
• Lead and coordinate the Communications Component of the project, including planning, reporting, and budget
• Create impactful, data-driven messaging for stakeholder communications
• Build global narratives on strategic sustainable agriculture topics
• Create and manage joint stakeholder engagement plans between partners
• Establish KPIs to measure communication effectiveness
• Produce various communication materials about project outcomes and insights
• Support event participation to communicate project results

Requirements

• Advanced degree in agriculture, forestry, natural resources, environmental management, or related field
• Minimum 7 years' experience in reporting and communications, including 5+ years with private sector sustainability activities, ideally in the coffee sector
• Portfolio of published work and/or advanced knowledge of corporate sustainability frameworks
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communications skills
• Proficiency in design programs and data visualization software
• Technical knowledge of sustainability topics
• Experience working with multicultural global teams remotely
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong English writing and verbal communication skills (Spanish/French a plus)
• Ability to travel 15-20% per year internationally
