Since 2020, they have focused on waste management, sustainability design, and skill development for green jobs. Their impact is tangible, having diverted over 10,000 tonnes of waste from landfills. Beyond environmental impact, they prioritize social inclusion by training over 100 individuals from waste-picker communities in modern waste technology, bridging the gap between informal labor and formal waste management systems.
Role
As the Regional Program Coordinator, you will act as the primary connection between the organization's strategy and ground realities. You will oversee operations, ensure the smooth implementation of activities, and serve as the key liaison for government officials in the region to drive the zero-waste agenda forward.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily operations and activities at various waste management facility locations.
- Ensure ground staff complete necessary documentation accurately and on time.
- Prepare and submit monthly progress reports and other required documents to line officers.
- Present Monthly Progress Reports (MPR) to relevant government authorities.
- Conduct baseline assessments and surveys as directed by the line manager.
- Lead ward-level workshops and activities based on the toolkit provided by the team.
- Manage additional outreach or documentation tasks necessary to achieve zero-waste goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Minimum of 2 years of total work experience.
- At least 1 year of specific experience working within the waste management sector.
- Certifications or diplomas in waste management or data science are considered an added advantage.
