Suvita

Suvita is an evidence-based nonprofit dedicated to saving lives by increasing the uptake of routine childhood vaccinations in India. Since 2019, they have reached over 40 lakh families and helped approximately 84,000 children get fully vaccinated. They achieve this through two rigorously tested programs: identifying local influencers to act as "Immunisation Ambassadors" and sending personalized SMS reminders to caregivers. Backed by leading organizations like GiveWell, The/Nudge Foundation, and J-PAL, Suvita partners with government health departments in Maharashtra and Bihar to deliver highly cost-effective impact at scale.

Role

You will sit at the intersection of research and decision-making, generating data-driven insights that directly shape Suvita’s expansion strategy in India. Working closely with partners like J-PAL, you will handle data synthesis and contribute to a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to ensure programs remain effective and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and prepare datasets for analysis to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct statistical analyses and create tables or figures to present empirical results.
  • Analyze and visualize quantitative data using tools like STATA, R, or Tableau.
  • Assist in designing questionnaires and preparing materials for data collection.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings to support senior researchers.
  • Manage day-to-day project administration and track deadlines to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain organized documentation and run quality checks on ongoing surveys.
  • Draft project reports and present findings to the team and external partners.

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative background with experience in applied data analysis.
  • Fluency in STATA and comfort working with large datasets.
  • High agency and the ability to solve problems without waiting for perfect conditions.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing reliable outputs.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to manage your own workflow and deadlines independently.
  • Curiosity for new methods and adaptability when priorities shift.
