Role
The Research Associate will support ongoing learning and improvement across Pratham’s education programmes. This includes analysing data from pilots, evaluations, and ongoing implementation, and working closely with program teams to generate actionable insights.
The ideal candidate has a basic grasp of data tools like R or Stata, an interest in using AI to improve programme monitoring, and strong documentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of pilot evaluations and research studies
- Conduct descriptive and basic inferential analysis using tools like Power BI, R, Stata, or Excel
- Assist in integrating AI-driven tools into programme dashboards and learning systems
- Track key performance indicators and implementation data
- Prepare analytical reports, case studies, and summaries
- Document lessons from pilots, including challenges and recommendations
- Follow ethical data handling and ensure high-quality data standards
- Travel for field visits to support data collection and feedback
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Economics, Education, Statistics, Development Studies, or similar
- 1–2 years of work experience in research, data, or M&E (preferably in the social sector)
- Basic proficiency in R, Stata, SPSS, or similar data tools
- Strong MS Excel and visualisation skills
- Familiarity with research methods, survey tools, and data validation
- Good writing and communication skills in English
- Interest in applying AI to education-focused monitoring and learning
