Role

As a Research Associate, you will lead data-driven studies to uncover the challenges facing young people today. You will transform complex numbers into clear evidence that shapes national policy and social change.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quantitative research projects and contribute to high-impact funding proposals.
  • Conduct extensive literature reviews to ground research in existing knowledge.
  • Develop survey tools, questionnaires, and detailed manuals for field teams.
  • Manage data quality checks to ensure all information collected is accurate and reliable.
  • Analyze large datasets using advanced statistical and econometric models.
  • Write clear summary reports, journal papers, and policy briefs for diverse audiences.
  • Coordinate regularly with field teams and participate in on-ground data collection.
  • Document survey processes meticulously to maintain research integrity.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a quantitative social science like Economics, Statistics, or Demography.
  • Minimum three years of professional experience in quantitative research and data analysis.
  • Fluency in English with the ability to write high-level technical reports and briefs.
  • Expert-level proficiency in STATA and experience handling large datasets like NFHS or NSSO.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage heavy workloads and tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to undertake extensive travel for fieldwork and monitoring.
