The Technology and Society Program leads the annual Global Technology Summit and various other initiatives that explore emerging technologies and their global implications.
About The Role
Location: Carnegie India Office, New Delhi
Responsibilities
- Conduct research, outreach, and writing on topics related to the Technology and Society Program, including:
- Semiconductors, space technologies, data legislation, encryption, biotechnology, and AI
- Military applications of AI and cybersecurity
- Export controls and cross-border technology transfer
- Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)
- Contribute to ongoing and evolving projects in emerging and strategic technologies.
- Support the conceptual and practical planning for Carnegie India’s Global Technology Summit.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, work independently, and manage multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in law, public policy, data science, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in technology policy.
- Strong verbal and written English skills.
- Experience in policy research and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated organizational and research skills.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects and meet flexible deadlines.
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications.
