Position: Senior Analyst – Climate Finance (Climate Change and Sustainability)
Role Overview:
As a Senior Analyst, you will play a critical role in business development, proposal writing, and program management within the Climate Change and Sustainability practice. You will lead efforts to secure new projects, manage stakeholder relationships, and oversee project execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables across India, South Asia, and Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management (50%)
- Identify and onboard partners, consultants, and full-time staff for program execution.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects by coordinating with implementation teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with donors, funders, and client counterparts.
- Oversee project reporting, budget management, work plan development, and operational support.
- Analyze findings and communicate insights effectively in written and oral formats.
Business Development (30%)
- Identify new business opportunities in India, South Asia, and Africa, and engage with potential donors.
- Lead the proposal development process, including team coordination, partner meetings, and budgeting.
- Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and provide strategic recommendations for growth.
- Develop high-quality technical proposals and financial plans for donor-funded initiatives.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Support communication and outreach efforts, including reports and presentations.
Thought Leadership (20%)
- Represent IPE Global at conferences, networking events, and industry discussions.
- Develop and contribute to marketing materials, blog posts, op-eds, and success stories.
- Work with the Corporate Communications team to share insights and results through industry platforms.
- Author policy notes, research publications, and evidence-based reports on climate finance and sustainability.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, Energy Studies, Resource Economics, International Development, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in climate finance, sustainability, and policy development.
- Proven experience developing multi-year proposals for bilateral/multilateral agencies, foundations, and philanthropies.
- Strong understanding of climate change policy, low-carbon transitions, and decarbonization strategies.
- Hands-on experience in commercial proposal structuring and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and data reporting tools.
- Familiarity with climate finance mechanisms, regulatory frameworks, and corporate sustainability strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and team mentorship skills.
