Role

The Counsellor cum Mobiliser plays a vital heart-of-the-center role. You will be the first point of contact for aspiring candidates, guiding them through career choices while actively reaching out to local communities to identify and encourage youth to join our transformative training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome walk-in candidates and provide clear, helpful information about available programs and job roles.
  • Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to understand a candidate's interests and help them choose the right career path.
  • Use psychometric tools to assess candidates' strengths and provide feedback on suitable training options.
  • Manage the end-to-end registration process, ensuring all student documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Travel within the community to conduct field visits, awareness campaigns, and meetings to find potential candidates.
  • Build strong relationships with local leaders, schools, and NGOs to promote skill development initiatives.
  • Support candidates who may have dropped out or been rejected by finding them alternative training or job opportunities.
  • Maintain daily and weekly reports on mobilization targets and student enrolments.

Requirements

  • A Graduate degree, preferably in Psychology, Social Work (MSW), or Counselling.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in community outreach, field mobilization, or career guidance.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to explain complex programs in simple terms to diverse groups.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with MS Office and data entry for reporting.
  • A "people-first" attitude with the ability to listen empathetically and convince candidates of the value of skilling.
  • High level of self-motivation and a disciplined approach to meeting community outreach targets.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the comfort level to work directly in field settings and rural/semi-urban pockets.
