Role

The Senior Coordinator, Financial Services, ensures that the organization remains financially healthy and compliant with all laws. The purpose of this role is to manage financial records, handle tax requirements (like GST and Income Tax), and support audit processes to ensure transparency and efficiency in our humanitarian work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage statutory and regulatory compliances, specifically for non-profit regulations.
  • Handle Income Tax and GST filings, including monthly returns and annual reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with the Companies Act and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) regulations.
  • Oversee accounts payable by reviewing invoices, processing payments, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including member dues and processing contributions from donors.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and improve the efficiency of accounting processes.
  • Work closely with teams to support strategic financial goals and professional reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field (Inter CA or Inter ICWA is preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience in financial accounting, statutory compliance, and tax management.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, and CSR reporting requirements for NGOs.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel (Data management and reporting).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with international teams.
  • Strong leadership traits including accountability, adaptability, and a professional presence.
