Role
Support the design, implementation, and strengthening of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems to track program performance, ensure data quality, and enable evidence-based decision-making across social impact projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the design of project need assessments, baselines, monitoring plans, and evaluations
- Strengthen M&E systems aligned with project results frameworks
- Develop and manage tools for quantitative and qualitative data collection
- Conduct surveys, literature reviews, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions
- Track project progress through regular site visits and performance reviews
- Train data collectors and ensure data quality and accuracy
- Manage beneficiary databases, MIS platforms, and real-time monitoring data
- Consolidate and analyse data to support program reviews and decisions
- Prepare high-quality monitoring, evaluation, and assessment reports
- Coordinate with project teams to integrate M&E activities
- Ensure adherence to organisational policies, data confidentiality, and security
- Be willing to travel to rural and remote project locations as required
Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Health Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology, Rural Development, or related fields
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the development or NGO sector with exposure to M&E systems
- Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Experience using data collection tools such as Kobo, Google Forms, or SurveyMonkey
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools (Excel, Power BI, SPSS, or similar)
- Strong report writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary teams
- Kannada language proficiency is desirable
