Role

The Senior Finance Associate provides vital support by managing the day-to-day bookkeeping of the organization. This role ensures that every donation and grant is tracked accurately, supporting our humanitarian projects. You will be responsible for processing financial documents, managing bank tasks, and ensuring all reports are accurate so that resources reach those who need them most.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate daily records of all financial transactions in Tally ERP 9 with proper documentation.
  • Process and upload payments through bank portals and prepare monthly reconciliation statements.
  • Create donor-wise reports to show exactly how funds are being used for various projects.
  • Monitor expenses against planned budgets and help project future costs.
  • Handle the calculation and payment of taxes and dues like TDS, GST, PF, and PT.
  • Prepare schedules and documentation for internal, external, and donor audits.
  • Update and maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including depreciation and verification.
  • Help with staff income tax calculations and prepare documents for tax assessments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce. Specialization or a diploma in Finance/Accounts is a plus.
  • 3 to 4 years in a similar accounts role. Previous experience in the NGO or charity sector is highly preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Tally ERP 9.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of fund accounting and charity accounting rules.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial data.
