Senior Manager – Bhumi Fellowship

Location: Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Experience: 3+ years in people or project management; experience in fellowship design or teaching is preferred.
Compensation: ₹83,000 – ₹91,000 /month

Role

The Senior Manager will lead the Bhumi Fellowship program, acting as the primary link between schools, fellows, partners, and donors. The goal of this role is to facilitate school transformation and develop young leaders who can improve the lives of children in government and low-income schools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and rollout of the fellowship program across multiple cities.
• Design and oversee monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems to track program success.
• Develop and implement Learning & Development (L&D) modules for fellows and staff.
• Mentor and coach (Assistant) Program Managers to ensure high-quality outcomes for students and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships within the education sector to strengthen the fellowship model

Requirements

• A Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in any field (prior fellowship experience is a plus).
• Proven experience in managing teams, large projects, or educational programs.
• Strong understanding of teaching methods (pedagogy) and the Indian school curriculum.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Tamil.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data reporting tools.
• Strong networking, listening, and people management skills.
• Emotional maturity, resourcefulness, and a solution-oriented mindset.
• A minimum commitment of three years to the organization.
