Identify, engage & build relationships with large institutional, national & international funders | ₹1 lakh-1.3 lakh/month

Location: Any major city (Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad) in India, with willingness to travel to different geographies as needed
Experience: Min. 4 years in in fundraising, consulting, business development, sales, non-profit development, partnerships or donor management
Compensation:₹1,00,000 - 1,33,000 per month, commensurate with skill and experience

Slam Out Loud

What happens when poetry meets the classroom? Slam Out Loud (SOL) is finding out. This organisation uses storytelling, visual arts, and theatre to build Creative Confidence in children from under-resourced communities whilst exploring social justice themes like climate and gender. Their Jijivisha Fellowship places artists directly in classrooms across Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Bangalore, with 75% of children showing measurable growth in socio-emotional learning skills. Meanwhile, their Arts for All program partners with state governments in Punjab and Maharashtra to train teachers on arts-based learning. Since 2017, SOL has reached 3,00,000 children in person and touched 10.5 million lives digitally.

Role

SOL is seeking a Senior Manager for Partnerships and Fundraising who is an excellent thinker, writer, and communicator. This role involves identifying, engaging and building relationships with large institutional, national, and international funders who will help promote and support projects to build Creative Confidence in children from under-resourced communities.

Responsibilities

Partner Engagement:

  • Grow Slam Out Loud's annual budget in alignment with our scaling programs
  • Identify, source and pursue high-value partnership opportunities through inbound lead follow-ups and outbound outreach, while developing a comprehensive pipeline of current and potential partners
  • Research potential partners and collaborate with senior leadership to align internal goals with new and existing partner relationships
  • Nurture partner relationships that exemplify SOL's core values
  • Organise events, including partner check-ins and annual feedback meetings

Fund Development:

  • Prepare at least 10 grant applications, proposals, presentations, and pitches per quarter that effectively communicate SOL's work and vision
  • Work with existing funders to renew and scale their commitments to Slam Out Loud
  • Forecast funding needs and proactively identify strategies to bridge gaps
  • Initiate and source leads to develop partnerships with national and international family foundations, CSR organisations, and global agencies

Funder Communications:

  • Leverage data and impact metrics to design compelling narratives that differentiate Slam Out Loud in the fundraising ecosystem
  • Build multi-year, sustainable partnerships by negotiating terms, managing expectations, and ensuring mutual value
  • Ensure timely donor reporting and compliance with legal, financial, and contractual requirements

Leadership and Internal Collaboration:

  • Mentor and guide junior team members in partnerships and fundraising, building their capacity to contribute effectively
  • Collaborate with communications, program, and finance teams to co-create high-quality proposals, donor reports, and impact stories
  • Ensure smooth internal coordination for donor visits, external meetings, and events

Requirements

  • Genuine passion for SOL's mission and ability to strategically position SOL's vision with global and national funders
  • Proven experience in cultivating, negotiating, and closing high-value partnerships
  • Ability to source new leads through research and build relationships from initial contact to multi-year commitments
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to create solutions independently
  • Skilled in mentoring and guiding teams in fundraising and partnerships

Education and experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in fundraising, consulting, business development, sales, non-profit development, partnerships or donor management
  • Proven track record of securing and managing high-value partnerships with institutional funders, foundations, CSR organisations, or global agencies
  • Demonstrated success in writing winning grant proposals, pitches, and donor reports
