Role
The Senior Manager will lead efforts to improve state-level systems and government capacities in Assam. The purpose of this role is to implement people-centric reforms within state and local governments, ensuring that public services are delivered effectively through better data analysis, strategy, and strong partnerships with government officials.
Responsibilities
- Create and lead strategies for government reforms that align with both organizational and state goals.
- Design project roadmaps that are easy to scale and improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee data collection and analysis to provide insights that help in making informed program decisions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with government officials, department heads, and donors.
- Lead change management efforts to help government teams adopt new systems and processes smoothly.
- Develop training modules, workshops, and toolkits to build the skills of government staff.
- Document best practices and project learnings to create a resource library for future programs.
- Manage regular reporting cycles to keep senior management and partners updated on progress and impact.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Public Policy, Business Management, Economics, Social Work, or a related field.
- 10 or more years of professional experience in managing social development projects.
- Strong ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and government bodies.
- Proficiency in data management tools such as Excel or Power BI to track and present information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to speak Assamese or Bengali is a helpful advantage.
- Proven leadership qualities with the ability to inspire teams and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- High level of organizational skill, attention to detail, and a practical approach to solving problems.
