About The Role
As a Senior ML Engineer at Digital Green, you will have the unique opportunity to apply advanced machine learning techniques to revolutionize agriculture. Your primary focus will be on developing and deploying NLP solutions for our farmer.chat platform, enabling farmers to access intelligent conversational bots tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Create ML models and algorithms for NLP tasks, including query understanding, semantic similarity matching, and more.
- Data Preprocessing: Analyze and preprocess agricultural data from diverse sources, ensuring it's ready for model training.
- Model Optimization: Fine-tune language models to perform effectively in low-resource settings and local languages.
- Model Deployment and Integration: Deploy and integrate trained models into production environments, enhancing our conversational bot platform.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics like accuracy, latency, and readability to ensure optimal model performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government partners and internal teams to understand their needs and drive impactful solutions.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with a strong foundation in machine learning and NLP, who can bring their expertise to a collaborative team environment. Here’s what you’ll need:
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on ML and NLP.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
- A deep understanding of NLP techniques such as language modeling, text classification, and sentiment analysis.
- Solid software engineering skills, including experience with GitHub, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
