Role
A senior leadership position focused on improving nature conservation laws through high-quality research, team management, and collaboration with government officials.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality legal and policy research on forests, biodiversity, wildlife, climate, and related ecosystems.
- Draft research reports, design and coordinate public consultations, and collect empirical information.
- Supervise ongoing projects and ensure research quality.
- Draft research proposals, oversee project timelines, and report to funders.
- Manage the team and collaborations with external stakeholders.
- Organize and participate in meetings and consultations with stakeholders and partner organizations.
- Travelling to different States for research and consultation, which may include remote locations.
- Create strategies to share research findings with the public through social media and events.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Law or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental law and policy research.
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Strong skills in writing, editing, and analyzing complex legal data for research reports and policy documents..
- Proven ability to manage teams and handle project timelines.
- Experience organizing workshops, roundtables, and public events.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to work with diverse stakeholders.
