Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI)

CDRI is a global partnership of 48 national governments and eight international organizations working to promote the resilience of new and existing infrastructure systems to climate and disaster risks. As a strong coalition and a Solution-Focused Centre of Excellence, CDRI aggregates and shares knowledge, strengthens capacities, and drives coordinated action to ensure over US$10 trillion of infrastructure investments are resilient by 2050.

Role

You will support the development of knowledge products and publications to advance the agenda of Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (DRI). You will be responsible for strengthening collaboration with knowledge partners, supporting the CDRI's knowledge exchange platform, and ensuring that research insights from field experiences are effectively documented and shared internally and globally.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting, archiving, and creating significant knowledge products to support evidence building and advocacy on DRI, such as country insights, strategy papers, data visualizations, and toolkits.
  • Support in maintaining a line of sight on the global discourse on DRI, identifying gaps, challenges, and solutions.
  • Strengthen collaboration and engagement with various knowledge partners on DRI, coordinating closely with government agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute towards operationalizing and maintaining CDRI’s knowledge exchange platform, DRI Connect.
  • Support CDRI’s internal knowledge management by documenting good practices and lessons learned from the Coalition’s own operations and projects.
  • Extend support to all other technical teams in CDRI in the development of their knowledge products and contribute to the conceptualization of new ones.
  • Support and contribute to CDRI’s active participation in global communities of practice in Knowledge Management (KM) and run CDRI’s own communities of practice consisting of global experts.
  • Attend meetings or consultations with external stakeholders as required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in disaster management, international development, sustainable development, environmental communication, or related fields. (A PhD is a plus, and candidates with a Bachelor's degree and 2 additional years of experience may be considered).
  • Minimum 8 years of overall experience with at least 2-3 years in academic/research management, knowledge management, technical publications, capacity development, or action research. (Experience in disaster risk reduction is a plus).
  • Fluency in English, both oral and written. Knowledge of any UN official language is an asset.
  • Fixed Term Contract (3 years), extendable for up to another 3 years.
