Founded in 2020 by leaders including Rohini Nilekani, Ratan Tata, Anand Mahindra and Nadir Godrej, ICC unlocks philanthropic capital, surfaces priority climate solutions, and builds connective infrastructure so funding can travel farther and faster. Role

Join India's leading climate collaborative to shape strategic solutions at the intersection of resilience, adaptation, and nature-based approaches. You'll drive intelligence work that connects land use, forests, and rural livelihoods with climate action, while building partnerships across the ecosystem to scale impactful initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Shape organisational thinking on resilience focusing on land, forests, agriculture, and rural livelihoods
  • Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging trends and curate scalable climate adaptation solutions
  • Develop frameworks and methodologies that strengthen rural adaptation systems and ecosystem-based resilience
  • Support fundraising strategies by mapping opportunities and engaging donors, philanthropies, and corporate partners
  • Create actionable insights, case studies, and policy briefs for the climate adaptation ecosystem
  • Represent the programme in policy forums and collaborative platforms to strengthen sectoral influence
  • Design and manage multi-stakeholder convenings including roundtables, workshops, and learning exchanges
  • Collaborate across internal teams and programme verticals to ensure coordinated implementation

Requirements

  • Master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Rural Development, Forestry, Agriculture, or related field
  • 10-14 years of substantive experience in managing and delivering programs focused on climate adaptation, land resilience, nature-based solutions or rural livelihoods
  • Strong foundation in rural land use, agriculture, forestry, or ecosystem management with climate adaptation focus
  • Hands-on experience in stakeholder engagement across government, philanthropy, civil society, academia, and private sector
  • Prior exposure to grant management, donor engagement, and knowledge dissemination
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder convenings with ability to translate dialogue into actionable outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for policy briefs, strategies, and presentations
  • Demonstrated competence in programme design, implementation, and monitoring
